October 2021: Salmones Camanchaca features among Oslo Stock Exchange’s top 100 companies for its sustainability reporting

The company obtained an A-rating in The Governance Group's ESG 100 report, which highlights companies listed on the Norwegian stock market with excellent public reporting of their environmental, social and governance issues.

In early September, the Norwegian consulting firm The Governance Group published its annual ESG 100 report, which rates how the 100 largest companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange report their environmental, social and corporate governance issues (ESG criteria). Salmones Camanchaca is the only Latin American company in this ranking in the seafood market. It was awarded an A rating, which positioned it among the 20 companies ranked third in the list, all with the same rating.

An A rating indicates “excellent reporting, in line with best practice. Good description of material issues and significant results. Clear and specific strategy, with quantifiable objectives,” according to this report.

Salmones Camanchaca has been listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange since February 2018, simultaneously with its listing on the Santiago Stock Exchange, and its ranking in The Governance Group’s 2021 report reflects significant progress from its E rating in the previous report for 2020.

This is the fourth time that The Governance Group has analyzed and rated ESG reporting among the top 100 companies listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The report evaluates the information provided by companies regarding 13 indicators that measure environmental, social and governance issues, including climate emissions and risks, human resource development, equity, reporting standards and other issues.
